About Don Gradner

My work utilizes many different mediums including watercolor, drawing, collage, and photography. Compositions are developed into finished digital collages by combining watercolors, drawings, and photographs in Photoshop, then refining, layering, and blending them. Artists influencing my art include Dorothea Lange, Josef Albers, Edmonia Lewis and Terence Baggett. I have lived and worked in Europe and Asia and in a number of states in the United States. For the past thirty years I have lived in the Sandia Mountains in New Mexico.

In 2008, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico. Courses of study included art history, design, and photography, studying under distinguished artist/professors Martin Facey and Patrick Nagatani. Several New Mexico art shows have juried me into their competitions. My work displays prominently in businesses and homes in New Mexico and in private collections in America and Canada.
